I love Lincoln, and all of our surrounding towns, everything about this great lil’ corner of Nebraska!
I currently reside in Lincoln with my handsome hubby and three sons. Born in Geneva, NE, I then lived in South Dakota for a few years as a youngster and moved to Lincoln at six. My roots bring me back to farming and everything “Small Town USA” in my family’s hometown of Sutton, NE, but I’ve lived all over Lincoln since 1987, appreciating every corner of town just the same! Graduation from the University of NE- Lincoln, found me with a degree in Business Management. I’ve been proudly selling real estate with Woods Bros Realty since 2005!
On a personal front, I enjoy all things outdoors, year-round, from camping, fishing, hunting, to sledding, water skiing, and yard maintenance. I pretend to be an avid runner, having run a number of half and full marathons, trail runs, and more. The days of coaching my boys’ sports have entered retirement, as their athletic skills surpassed mine long ago. I’ve since joined my husband, cheering from the far side of the fields and courts now. We also love to cheer from the far side of the concert hall, listening to their piano, saxophone, and trumpet music. We belong to a fantastic church, and, having served with Sunday School, Church Council, and other committees, I relish the importance of a community of believers. Now, for anyone who has met me and feels that I may have missed my calling in life as a comedian, it’s understandable. I have a handful of hilarious jokes up my sleeves at any given moment, and am ALWAYS happy to share!
Professionally, I’ve been honored to serve on our Board of Directors for the REALTORS® Association for six years, chairing a handful of committees along the way. My passions lie with our local and state Governmental Affairs Committees (HELLO, Capitol City of Nebraska!), and I serve on a handful of committees there also. Being informed and involved is integral to me, to help protect our homeownership rights-- working with our elected officials on current legislation governing property rights, financing regulations, taxation, development, and more.
Another outstanding organization I serve is Lutheran Family Services. With over 46 programs serving those who need help the most (refugees, adoptees, and foster care children, adults, those incarcerated, homeless, etc.) through mental, behavioral, and physical health services and much more. Chairing the Board of Directors and serving on other committees has given me a voice to help make decisions bearing a greater understanding and deeper appreciation, for compassion towards those who need it most, and those who serve them.
The rest of my time is spent tackling remodeling and landscaping projects at our home and rental properties (love woodworking!), volunteering around town (love People’s City Mission!) and at church and schools (love constant activities!); plus cheering on the Huskers (love tailgating!), and entertaining year-round with great neighbors and friends.
Lincoln and our surrounding towns have SO MUCH to offer. What a terrific future lies ahead! And I am thrilled to serve anyone who also wants to call this lil’ corner of Nebraska paradise, their own HOME SWEET HOME!
